Boruto along with much other anime had halted new release for months. That is changing slowly as Boruto Anime released its Episode 155 a few days ago. This is because it was finally time to resume the anime. The delays due to the ongoing pandemic may persist but its back. Boruto anime is produced by Pierrot Studio under the direction of Masayuki Koda. The story is supervised by Ukyo Kodachi.
Boruto is a television on TV Tokyo every Sunday. After the anime was approved appropriate for a young audience, it is given the time slot on the weekend. Boruto Episode 156 is expected to air on July 12, 2020. It will be available on Crunchyroll on the same date with subtitles.
Episode 156 Title: “I can’t stay in my slim form”
This episode in particular is written by Toko Machida and directed by Machita Shiraishi.
What is the plot?
The episodes 152-156 are supposedly fillers. Boruto’s plot is transitioning towards the new arc. It is keeping the tradition of adding a few fillers before starting the new arc just like its predecessor Naruto. The previous episode was about the mysterious man that was found by Mitsuki on a rainy night. Episode 156 is about Chōchō Akimichi. She is the only child of Kurai and Choji. She is part of the current generation of Ino-Shika Cho.
We found out from the post-episode preview of Episode 155 that it is about Cho Cho. She has a power mode that gives her wings like a butterfly. However, When she uses this mode, she gets slim. We saw this slimming effect when Choji had a big fight. However, the Akimichi clan doesn’t like to look slim. They like their chubby forms. This episode will show her struggle to fight some goons during a mission.
This episode is based on a lighter plot. It shows the struggle of a side character who is not under the spotlight during the actual plot. This way, there is time to make the character more known to the audience. These filler episodes act as a transition period for the studio to plan for the next major arc.
Next in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
We are getting to the most popular arc from the manga in the anime. The kara arc has gained immense popularity in the manga audience where the story is quite ahead of the anime. Do you remember Kawaki from the start of anime? The guy who supposedly toppled the whole leaf village upside down and killed the Hokage! Well, we are not there yet. But Kawaki is gonna make an appearance. Additionally, the mysterious organization Kara will be making its move.
I won’t spoil anything for you but the next arc is worth the hype. More intense fights, more of Kawaki, and more of Boruto’s hand mark. If you didn’t like the initial part of Boruto anime, this is the perfect time to get back to watching. The fun is just starting. Anyhow, this is it for me. Hope you liked the article.
