For All Mankind Season 2 Release Date and Expectations

The American science fiction TV series ‘For All Mankind’ is returning with its second season. It is written and created by Ronald D. Moore, Ben Nedivi, and Matt Wolpert. The show depicts an alternate history by showing a never-ending global space race. The first season premiered on 1st November 2019 on Apple TV+ and got renewed in October 2019 itself.

Storyline:

The premise of the show is based in the late 1960s when the Space Race was on between USSR and the US. It takes us on a journey where the Space Race never ended. Alexei Leonov marks history after becoming the first human to land on the moon in an alternate timeline. This brings down NASA’s confidence after the Soviet Union beats them in the race. The Soviet Union then starts emphasizing on women being included in their next expedition to the moon. As a result, the US starts training women and minorities for space exploration who were initially excluded from the project of the United States.

What to expect from Season 2?

The Season 1 of ‘For All Mankind’ ended on a cliffhanger as it left all the fans wanting more of the show. The wait is finally going to be over as Season 2 has been officially announced with a trailer. The 76-minute finale showed Deke and Ellen floating in space while Harry is passed away due to the blast. While the fuel is running out quickly, their chances of returning are quite bleak as they might be lost in space. Ed is the only person who can save them, but he’s busy questioning the Russian astronaut that he captured. He has not even responded to NASA correspondence since the time he found out about his son’s death.

After some time, NASA finally gets in contact with Ed and explains to him what needs to be done to save Apollo 24. Ed and Ellen make it through the situation, but Deke is lost in this process. Ed makes it back to home while Ellen stays up at the moon. On the other hand, things turn out harsh for Aleida, as she loses her host family, as well as her father, who is deported. Season 2 will either pick up from where it left and explain what happens when Ed finally returned and the other things happening on the moon or may take a leap to the early 1980s. In short, Season 2 is going to be a complete banger as it will unravel all the doubts the fans have. It will bring about many twists and turns, which will be nothing short of a rollercoaster ride for the viewers.
