DanMachi Season 3 has been delayed once again

‘DanMachi’ is an anime series that is adapted by a light novel with the same name. Written by Fujino Omori, the novel was published in 2013 and then adapted to a Manga series. On 3rd April, 2015 the first episode was aired for the Anime series and the second series aired from 13th July, 2019 to 28th September, 2019. ‘DanMachi’ Season 3 was announced on 27th September, 2019 i.e. a day before the last episode of season 2 was aired and was originally scheduled to be released on 4th July, 2020 but has been delayed. Let us understand a few details before its release.

The story revolves around Bell Cranel, who is a teenager under Goddess Hestia. He works hard to improve himself in the dungeon. He falls in love with Ais Wallenstein, who is a powerful swordswoman who once saved his life. But, many other girls have fallen for him including Hestia. Season 2 showed Hestia accepting her emotions for Bell which will be the main plot for season 3. Season 3 will also show Welf Crozzo, his family relations, and why he left his family. A war is also initiated as Ares, the War God is coming to town, and his adventure on taking both sides. The season will include stronger adventures.

The show has many characters with quite different traits and personalities. Some of the characters and their dubbed artists are:

Bell Cranel- voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka; Hestia- voiced by Inori Minase; Ais Wallenstein- voiced by Saori Oonishi; Lilliluka Arde- voiced by Maaya Uchida; Welf Crozzo- voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya and Mikoto Yamato- voiced by Chinatsu Akasaki.

AnimeUS released the trailer for ‘DanMachi’ Season 3 on their official YouTube channel on 22nd March, 2020. It has already crossed 390k views. You can watch the trailer below.

As of now, we do not have an official date for the release but their official twitter account has announced that they will broadcast the series this October. The date will not be delayed unless the pandemic situation in Japan worsens. The post-production activities take time and J.C. staff is said to be infamous for their packed schedules. If the date is delayed, it will not be surprising. But, the fans are excited about the announcement and this season will probably cover up to volume 11 from the novel.
