Deku’s New Journey In My Hero Academia Season 5

‘My Hero Academia’ is a comedy fiction anime series that premiered on 3rd April 2016. It is an adaptation of the superhero Manga series with the same name. Kohei Horikoshi has written the Manga series. The Manga series also has two adaptations in an animated movie form. The movies are ‘My Hero Academia: Two Heroes’ and ‘My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising’. The series has completed four seasons to date. In April 2020, Funimation announced that the series will return for season 5. Let us understand a few details regarding the series.

The story revolves around Izuku Midoriya who lives in a world full of superheroes. But, he does not have any superpower. So, he enrolls himself in U.A. High School which is said to be a college for aspiring superheroes. He starts training there. The upcoming season will surely be about the young heroes pushing their limits. The series might also introduce some new characters. Season 4 ended with a post-credit scene where Deku enters an energy field of all past One For All users. We don’t know what the dream means, so we will have to wait to find out the message behind the dream. The characters will be developing various powers and new villains will be introduced. Bones Inc. have announced that they are working on the new script for the episodes.

The cast consists of Izuku Midoriya (voiced by Justin Briner); Katsuki Bakugo (played by Daiki Yamoshika); Tenya Lida (played by Kaito Ishikawa); Todoroki.  Yuki Kaji; Minoru Mineta  Ryo Hirohashi; Shinya Kamihara; Rumi Usagiyama; Shinji Nishita; Ryuko Tatsuma; Tsunagu Hakamata and more. These are the confirmed characters who will be appearing in Season 5.

On 4th April 2020, AnimeTV released a teaser regarding My Hero Academia Season 5 on their official YouTube channel. It has already crossed 386k views. You can watch the teaser below.

Yuki Hayashi shared a photo of a band working which shows that the production of the new season is on its way. Funimation has not made any official announced regarding the dates as of now. But, there are rumors that they will release in mid-2021. All seasons were premiered in the consecutive years with the first season being in 2016, second in 2017, and third in 2018. The series released its fourth season in 2019. Currently, the English dubbed version is delayed as the production has been shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the announcement was made recently, we cannot announce the dates for sure. But, we will update you guys as soon as we get any information. Till then, stay tuned for more such updates.
