Peaky Blinders Plot Hole: Season 3 Arrest Blunder ‘Unearthed’ by Tommy Shelby’s Error
The British period drama ‘Peaky Blinders’ created by Steven Knight premiered on 12th September, 2013. Currently, the series has released five seasons and the production has stated that the series will probably be continued up to seven seasons. Season 6 will be released in the coming months and one of the fans has discovered a huge error while re-watching the older episodes.
The premise of the show follows the Shelby crime family and how they exploit after World War I ended. It is set in Birmingham in England and actually such a family is known to exist. So, the show is based on true events. Season 3 ended with Arthur Shelby, John, Aunt Polly, and Michael getting arrested. It was considered to be a vital seen as a part of the finale. But, a fan has spotted a huge blunder in the scene. Season 3 also saw Tommy giving out the family cash as promised earlier. The Shelby family was feared by everyone due to their ruthless reputation but as they move forward their crime began to catch up with them.
According to the fan, the blunder was that Tommy said that the arrest warrants were issued by the Chief Constable of Birmingham. But, only a judge or a magistrate can issue arrest warrants. It seems as if Tommy had planned all this from before itself, in order to keep his family members safe and protected from being arrested. However, Tommy ends up losing his family but figures out a trick in the next season to save his family from getting killed for their committed crimes. We do not really know whether Tommy informed against his family or whether all of this was pre-planned. It might just prove to be a blunder by the writers after all, but who knows. But, the upcoming season will probably address this issue and we will surely get an answer.
The periodic crime series has gained millions of viewers already and has built itself a loyal fanbase. According to the creators, season 6 has to be released soon. The scripting is finished and the upcoming season is tagged to be the best until now. Season 5 ended with a cliffhanger and the assassination of Sir Oswald Mosley leaving the fans wanting more.
