After a lot of waiting around sony has finally set to launch its newest console Play Station 5 later this year. There are still a lot of questions that are still missing some key pieces of info about the PlayStation 5. We all have to see the look of new Sony’s Play Station 5, we see all the accessories like PS5 DualSense controller, DualSense charging station, Pulse 3D wireless headset and lot more. But Sony hasn’t revealed the price and the launch date for the new console Play Station 5 yet. Sony is now letting gamers register to be one of the first to preorder the Play Station 5. On Sony’s Play Station 5 official website the company is taking preorder reservations on a first-come, first-served basis from “existing customers.” According to the FAQ page by the Sony, the selection is “based on previous interests and PlayStation activities,” and you’ll know if you’re selected if you are contacted via email. We still don’t have any idea what’s that all about. It could relate to your previous Play Station gaming time or something like that that your Sony PlayStation Network ID has.
If you have a Play Station before and you contacted then you will have a limited time to make a reservation to preorder, so act fast and follow the instructions you will get in the email. All the details including the expiration date and time for making your reservation will be indicated in the email. Preorders will be limited to one console per PSN ID (PlayStation Network ID). Here are the full preorder quantity limitations per PSN ID:
- 1 PS5 Console or 1 PS5 Digital Edition
- 2 DualSense wireless controllers
- 2 DualSense charging stations
- 2 Pulse 3D wireless headsets
- 2 Media remotes
- 2 HD Cameras
For the time been, you can only order limited items to those invited to preorder from PlayStation Direct only. If you need your Play Station 5 you’ll want to register with your PSN ID as soon as possible. Other Play Station 5 Accessories like the controller and headset, will be “open to the general public,” but the page doesn’t say when or whether the PS5 console will eventually be available at third-party retailers.
Sony has recently done a stream that focused on the DualSense controller, Sony’s senior vice president of marketing Eric Lempel made clear that gamers will be given ample warning before preorders go live.
Recently Microsoft has announced both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S and also announced the release date with the pricing details and preorder date for Xbox Series X and Series S. it’s only a matter of time before we get the Sony’s Play Station 5 pricing details and preorder date with the confirm launched date for Play Station 5. Amazon has also put up a PlayStation 5 placeholder page with info about the console as well, so all major retailers now have set pages promoting the console.
