When season 3 ended in May 2020, fans were skeptical about the fourth season. This was because the coronavirus pandemic has put a halt to everything. The usual schedule for 911 part one used to be the fall of the same year. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, everyone knew that it was impossible for the series to return for season 4 in the fall.
