Halo Infinite Release Date and Expected Updates

Halo Infinite is the upcoming video game in the Halo series. It stands as the 6th main entry in the Halo series, while it is the 14th game overall. The game has been developed by 343 Industries. Xbox Game Studios will be publishing the game for the platforms Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox series X, and Xbox series S. Halo Infinite is a highly anticipated first-person shooter game. The user can play the game in both single-player mode and multiplayer mode. Fans are very much excited to get a first look at the 6th Halo series game by 343 Industries.

The story was called Halo 6 and entered the planning stage in 2015. On 10th June 2018, an announcement trailer was released by the creators. The making of the game was affected due to the coronavirus pandemic as the creators had to work from their homes. It was suggested earlier that a Beta version would be released before the full game is released. On 23 July 2020, it was announced that the release of the Beta version would be quite difficult given the current situation. A week later, good news came out for Halo lovers. The multiplayer portion of the game was going to be released as free to play.

The game was being planned for a 2020 release, but unfortunately, the pandemic has made the release of the game difficult this year. On 11 August 2020, it was finally announced that the game release would be postponed to 2021. Hence, it seems like it would take a while before we could play the 6th installment of the Halo series. No more official announcement has been made for a specific date of game release during next year.

When the game was announced, it was also said that it would be released with Xbox Series X/S. However, after suffering the coronavirus damage, it was announced in August that there were no concurrent plans of releasing the version anytime soon. Thereby, the launch of the version was delayed.

The storyline in Halo Infinite runs in continuation of the previous one. The story of Master Chief is continued as the third installment of the Reclaimer Saga. The story was called Halo 6, which was in continuation of Halo 5: Guardians released in 2015. Master Chief has only one mission, and that is to save humanity for the greater good. It has been claimed that the synopsis, setting, and gameplay of this time would be much more human-like. Master Chief will be playing a much more centralized role this time around. The group ‘Banished’ who were seen first in Halo Wars 2, will be the enemies this time around. Along with it, we will also mark the return of the Mjolnir armor belonging to the Chief.

The announcement trailer hinted it that the story would be revolving around a Halo ring that has been damaged mysteriously by somebody. The rest of the story will be unveiled after the game is released.
