Stranger Things Season 4 Shooting Resumes

Netflix’s ‘Stranger things’ is one of the most commercially successful series on the platform, with three seasons already been released. The show’s first episode was premiered on July 15, 2016, and had instantly become a hit among the audience. ‘Stranger things’ is science fiction, horror, and drama series, which was created by The Duffer Brothers. The series cast include Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Shnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, Dacre Montegomery, along with Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Caleb McLaughlin, Maya Hawke, and Charlie Heaton.

The backdrop of the show is based in the 1980s  Hawkins, Indiana, where a group of young friends witnesses supernatural forces and secret government exploits after one of them, named Will Byers ( Noah Schnapp), suddenly disappears. As they go on searching for their answers, the children unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries along their way. Each season of the show progresses to be slightly apart from the previous one, which means that one can watch any of these three aired seasons non-consecutively. Still, they would be able to enjoy the storyline just by connecting some dots throughout the episodes.

Since the last season ended, fans have been impatient about its season 4 release. It was reported that the shooting of season 4 had been put on hold due to the Covid19 pandemic. Now, in the latest report, the production team confirmed on their official Twitter account that after a long pause, the cast and crew are back for filming scenes as the shooting for the fourth season resumes. Although, some of the scenes were already filmed before putting on a halt on March 16, 2020.

In the last released season, the storyline continues in 1985 Hawkins, where summer heats up, and there is no school for children. A brand new mall opens up in the town, while the group experiences itself to be on the verge of adulthood, which stirs up the romance and complicates these young people’s social dynamics. Meanwhile, Steve (Joe Keery) gets his new job at the ice-cream shop in the mall, where he meets Robin (Maya Hawke), a sardonic ice-cream scooper who later gets involved in the Upsidedown drama, along with the local gang of the town. As these two continue to work at the mall, they sense some unusual activities going on and try to solve the puzzles in order to find out what is happening. As the danger looms, the town is threatened by old as well as new enemies. This danger reminds Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the group that evil never ends; it evolves with time. This crisis helps the group to get together for survival and teaches them the importance of friendship, which makes them stronger and fearless.

Towards the end of the season, while fighting the Russian spies, Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Billy (Dacre Montegomery) unfortunately die, leaving the audience in utter shock. Also, it was also hinted that some of the gang members are moving from Hawkins to somewhere else, which will disturb the equilibrium of the group. After this season, fans are excited to watch the further twists and turns that are bound to happen throughout its fourth installment. To escalate the excitement, a teaser had been released in February 2020, which shows the shocking return of Jim Hopper in Russia, who was killed in season 3. As season 4 has kick-started its shooting and production, fans are feeling positive about the outcome and are hoping for season 4 to be released soon.
