The Galaxy S devices are the main phones from Samsung, and they are among the best smartphones released each year. The phones released at the start of the year, and this time, they are rumored for a very early release. The new lineup will be called S21, consisting of three devices: S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra. As we enter December, many details have come through for what these devices will look like and when we can expect them to release.
Nowadays, the main concern for device makers is the design of the smartphone. For the S21 devices, the first major change will be the camera layout on the back of the phones. It will have a new uniform bump with symmetrically arranged camera units and a glossy finish contrasting the rest of the glass back. From the leaks, the front camera hole-punch looks even smaller than last year. Under- screen cameras are still not a thing even for Samsung. The rest of the design is carried from the previous S20 models.
The display in these flagship devices remains top-notch, and the new models will rock the same HD+ AMOLED screen with high refresh rate capabilities. The screen may get slightly bigger in the respective models for the S21 line-up compared to the S20s. The Ultra-Model will have a better 6.8-inch screen.
The battery will also get bigger as the hardware gets more demanding. 4500-4800mAh batteries will be introduced to these models, and they will provide some extra boost to battery life. These devices will have both Exynos and Snapdragon Variants with top-notch processors and up to 12-16GB RAM. The storage options will be 128/256GB.
S21 Ultra will be the device to look out for as it will be the ultimate phone for early 2021. This year’s Ultra model came with some crazy specifications and had everything you need from a smartphone right now. But now, with the S21, those features will be taken to a whole other level. The 108 MP sensor will come back for the new model, and it will have new, improved stability and focus on supporting better pictures. Another Rumor is that the Ultra model will support the S-pen, but there will be no space built-in like the Note series. You may have to carry it separately if you prefer such a thing.
Finally, the release of the S21 lineup is planned for January 2021. All the devices will likely be released together and mostly sold through online stores. The demand for smartphones remained high during 2020, and it will be a good decision to release early as there are no other major releases from the competing brands. The S21 has a new design on its back, and some would argue that it looks better than the predecessors. Looks matter for these flagship smartphones, and we can expect a good demand at release.
