Remember Avatar? Two things come back to mind when somebody hears the word Avatar: Nickelodeon’s “Avatar: The Last Airbender” or James Cameron’s Avatar. Though the first one is a great animated kids show, we will discuss the second one, which is the box office hit, The Avatar movie. Despite Avatar’s unmatched success (2009), James Cameron’s interrogation continues about whether or not it was a good idea to continue Avatar over the last ten years. I wish to say: Wasn’t the first one good enough? Wasn’t the global appeal of the Avatar up to or surpassing the mark of top movie franchises. Released in December 2009, the film continues to be in the first three places of the highest-grossing movies of all time pulling in 2.79 billion dollars worldwide.
As curious fans, we have been patiently waiting for sequels to arrive ever since. However, the production team is taking its time more than our patience. However, we are greatly optimistic that the sequel, when released, will surpass the first installment as the production team has some gigantic plans. The sequel of Avatar has been in the production phase for quite a long time. Sometimes it felt like the sequel may never come. However, the production of Avatar 2, along with part three, has begun in New Zealand.

Premise
The plot of Avatar 2 continues thirteen years after the actions of the first film. Since joining the Navi Jake-Sully, a chief, and Natira, now an elevated priestess, have started a family and have multiple children. The new story also reportedly widens up the world of Pandora and explores other regions of the planet. We will meet a new tribe called the met Kaena, who live on or near the water. They’re basically reef people and free divers, and water reportedly plays a large role in their lives. The real trouble arises when the resources development team once again tries to seize Pandora after being expelled. Since they still hope to tap the valuable reserves of unobtanium on the planet. So, a clash is highly probable. We will see how the events finally roll out when the movie hits the big screens.
Budget
Avatar made around 2.8 billion dollars at the box office, and at the time it was released in 2009, it held the record as the top-earning movie of all time. It cost around 237 million dollars to make that, of course, translated into huge profits for Hollywood. According to the calculation, the production team has now decided to spend more than a billion dollars! That number sounds a little less irrational when you consider it is being spread around for sequels. All that money is being used to make Avatar 2, 3, and 4, and Avatar 5, since the director, James Cameron, is working on them all at once. Despite this, the budget still seems to be huge in comparison to other 3-D movies. So, we can safely say that what is coming is huge.
