Ciipher members are the trending talk of the internet. Their stunning visuals, incredible skills, versatile genres, and unique concepts have managed to steal the media spotlight. Since their debut, they have been rising to the top-level bit by bit and are creating their space in the competitive K-Pop industry.
Soon after their debut, the group was nominated for the “Male Idol Group Popularity Award” at the 2021 Asian Artist Awards. Tan
Completing his education at Korean Arts High School from the music department, Tan is recognized as the lead vocalist of the boy band. In the year 2014, he used to be a part of the survival show “NO.MERCY”. Yes, it was the same show that created the boy band “MONSTA X”.
Moreover, he is also been recognized as a former trainee of Starship Entertainment. He has served his military service and thus is now a regular part of the band.
Hwi
Holding the positions of the main dancer, vocalist, and visuals of the boy band, Hwi is one of the prominent members there. He was born in Ilsan, South Korea and is known to maintain a happy atmosphere in the group.
Hyunbin
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Hyunbin is the leader and vocalist of the group. Before debuting as one of the Ciipher members he was a part of the survival show “Produce X 101” where he bagged the 32nd position. He has also recognized as a former trainee of Starship Entertainment and YG Entertainment.
According to many reports he was lined up to debut with Cravity members when they were all in their pre-debut years though the situation took turns and now, he is a major part of the boy band, Ciipher.
Keita
Keita is recognized as the rapper and lead dancer of the boy band. Born and brought up in Osaka, Japan, he was also a contestant on YG’s Treasure Box Survival show but was eliminated in the ninth episode. He was also the first trainee under YG Japan and was chosen as a leader on Team J as he had the most training time.
On April 9, 2019, he became a part of RAIN Company and now is thriving as one of the versatile Ciipher members.
Tag
Born in Daegu, South Korea and then immigrated to Thailand, Tag is the main rapper and vocalist of the boy band. Alongside Prince from Ghost9, he has trained in the ON AIR Academy in Thailand. He is known to be fluent in three languages i.e., Thai, English, and Korea.
Moreover, he is also a contestant on High School Rapper 4.
Dohwan
Recognized as the main vocalist of the boy band, Dohwan was born in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Completing his education from Myongji High School, he was also a contestant on YG’s Treasure Box Survival Show. Though he was eliminated in the ninth episode of the same.Furthermore, he is also known to be able to play Haeguem, a Korean string instrument that resembles a fiddle.
Won
Won is the maknae of the group and also holds the position of rapper. Born and brought up in Incheon, South Korea Won attended Hanlim Multi Art School. He was a contestant on the show titled “Under Nineteen”. He bagged the seventh position in the same and debuted as the final member of the group “1THE9”. The group disbanded on August 8, 2020.
He is also recognized as a former trainee of A Team Entertainment and is known for his specialty in writing lyrics.
Ciipher: A Bit About the Group
Ciipher is a newly-formed South Korean boy band under R.A.I.N. Company. Consisting of seven members the group debuted on March 15, 2021, with their extended play “I Like You”.
The group’s popularity soared high just after their debut as the Ciipher members were pretty popular in their pre-debut days too. Being part of survival shows they were already successful in creating a recognizable image in front of thousands of viewers.
Their second extended play “Blind” was released on September 28, 2021, and the third extended play was released on May 11, 2022, titled “The Code”
