Josh Seiter has spoken about what happened between Monday and Tuesday. It was when he was announced dead on his Instagram account.

Seiter told me after eighteen hours on Tuesday that he was not over and his account was hacked. He clarified the same using a video.

When was the fake news about Josh Seiter circulated?

On August 28, 2023, it was reported that Josh Seiter died, but on the following day, he posted a statement confirming that he was alive. The reality star took 18 hours to confront this news, and he has now clarified the reason behind it.

The 36-year-old, who was also formerly seen on Bachelorette, said his account was hacked.

He competed in Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season. Josh Seiter was seen in 2015 in The Bachelorette, which was the first season with two leading actresses.

Many people have questioned his story, including his ex, who thought him dead. Josh Seiter has now spoken about this issue. He waited eighteen hours to clarify things and tell people that he was indeed alive.

How Josh Seiter responded?

During an interview with TMZ, he said,

“I was locked out of my account for about 18 hours…as soon as I was, I was able to get in…take back control of the account,” TMZ said that it was surprising that no one tried to confirm or clear things during the eighteen-hour window period.

To these things, Josh responded and said,

“Yeah, again, I just go back to my earlier point. I’m not a celebrity. I’m not famous. I don’t have a team that puts out statements. I was at home, I wasn’t able to get into my account. I was working desperately and dealing with a thousand things. People messaging me, people calling me.”

TMZ also claimed to call him, which straightly went to his voicemail. They also told the audience that they even left a message.

Seiter also emphasized why he didn’t respond and tried to explain everything to the public regarding his not being dead.

He further added,

“Monday was a lot of long conversations with close family members. Talking to people who are friends…trying to get their expertise. As well as a family member who is kind of well-versed in tech. My priority was getting back into my Instagram account. Working on that was my number 1 priority. Dealing with the stress of it all. It was just overwhelming. I don’t think anyone knows how they would have handled something like that until it happens to them.”

TMZ also said that they called his family members, who either didn’t respond to their questions or hung up.

Josh explained this by saying,

“My family’s fractured. We’re estranged. There’s a lot of family dynamics and balkanization going on within the nuclear and extended family in my house. Just because you guys called them doesn’t mean that they were gonna answer.”

Seiter further added,

“I’m sorry. I’m not perfect. I guess I could have done something besides getting on Instagram to prove that I was alive. I haven’t had experience with this. I did the best I could. I’m sorry to everyone that this person hurt. I’m a victim.”

Seiter took to Instagram and posted a video in which he said that someone was playing a cruel joke with him, and that person even mocked his mental illness.

He has been open on social media about him being a suicide attempt survivor and a person having depression.

People took to social media to pay their tributes to Josh Seiter, as many tend to act when they learn about the death of their loved ones.

Reporters asked him about this, to which he responded by saying that he received hundreds of calls from people who weren’t even close to him.
