Release Date of the second season of Loki

As confirmed by Marvel Studios, Loki will be back for yet another season, i.e., season 2 on October 6, 2023. Just like the first season, six episodes will be released on a weekly schedule.

As per the reports from Variety, it is a relief for the fans that the release date of season 2 of Loki is not affected by the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strike.

The second season of Loki is one of the most expensive shows, as it has been made on a budget of $141.3 million.

Loki Season 2 debuted as the biggest online trailer that a Disney+ series ever had. It has over 80 million views, and multiple posters have been released.

Expected Cast of Loki Season 2

So far, only thirteen major actors and characters are confirmed by Disney, who will be seen in the second season.

They are Tom Hiddleston in the role of Loki. Sophia Di Martino in the role of Sylvie, Owen Wilson in the role of Agent Mobius, Jonathan Majors in the role of Victor Timely aka Kang the Conqueror, Gugu Mbatha-Raw in the role of Ravonna Lexus Renslayer, Ke Huy Quan in the role of Ouroboros.

As seen in some of the pictures revealed online, Sylvie will be seen as working in a 1970s McDonald’s.

The show recently released a teaser in which we saw that Loki will be confronting Sylvie at McDonald’s. Judging by the look on Sylvie’s face, she didn’t expect to see him ever again.

Loki Season 2

The casting of Ke Huy Quan, the actor in Everything Everywhere All at Once, comes as the biggest news. He will be seen playing the role of Ouroboros, who will be in charge of the technology.

Kate Dickie, who is widely known for her roles in horror films like The Witch, will also be seen making her MCU debut. Her role hasn’t been disclosed yet.

Rafael Casal was seen wearing a TVA prisoner jumpsuit in the revealed photos and will also be seen in the second season of Loki. His character is unnamed.

Liz Carr is known for her role in the hit Netflix series The Witcher, which will also be a part of Loki Season 2.

Kate Herron told Deadline that she has departed from season 2 and is happy to watch this one as a fan. She added that she is proud of their work as she has given it her all.

Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson, the filmmakers of The Endless who directed two episodes of Moon Knight, will work as directors on this project.

They will also be seen co-directing the majority of episodes of season 2. Eric Martin and Michael Waldron, the writers, have also returned.

Expected Plot of Season 2 of Loki

Currently, only as much as the trailer has shown is known. Loki is seen as “Time Slipping,” which will create trouble for the multiverse and him.
