Ncuti Gatwa remembers being anxious when he first stepped onto the Barbie set and how he “drowned” in Ryan Gosling’s blue eyes.
There is no hopeless romantic on the face of this planet that the charisma of the iconic Barbie actor Ryan Gosling can’t sway! (La La Land fans, raise your hand!) Even his co-stars are not excluded from the list!
Ncuti Gatwa recalled the days he worked on the sets of Barbie while being in the presence of this dreamy actor. He thinks back to how he gushes over his heartthrob, Ken (Ryan Gosling).
He confessed that he was “so nervous I hardly spoke for the first month.” He talks about his fanboy moment with the swoon-worthy actor,
“There was a time when I was talking to Greta (Greta Gerwig, the movie’s director), and I turned around, and Ryan Gosling was looking at me, and his eyes were so blue that I just… fell over. I just drowned in his eyes,” (we can totally imagine!)
He further added,
“I noticed that it was also the most kind, empathetic set I’ve ever been on,”
The 30-year-old Sex Education actor also talked about how Margot Robbie took the cast members to attend the Magic Mike Show. He said,
“We played So Solid Crew and all these old-school garage tunes, then we got to Magic Mike, and all screamed our faces off at the incredible dancers. Then we all went to [London nightclub] The Box… The group chat the next day was lit,”
