Suits creator came forward and cleared the air surrounding the reboot of the series, which ended in 2019. Despite recent success, the audience’s desire to get more seems to have ended.

Aaron Korsh, creator of Suits, confirmed that currently, there are no plans to reboot the show despite the massive success of the streaming giants.

Was Suits a Soaring Success?

Suits ended in 2019 with its ninth season the legal drama has gathered an enormous fan base indecent weeks after it gathered 12.8 billion views on Netflix. The series has topped the Nielsen ratings chart with this huge score.

Nielsen also reported that this series is about a college dropout who made his way into a good job at a New York legal firm and was viewed for 3.1 billion minutes. In the last month, it was viewed for 18 billion minutes across Peacock and Netflix.

It is not known for sure if the rise in streaming platforms is due to Meghan Markle and her marriage to Prince Harry. Another reason could be the ongoing strike by writers, and in place of this situation, the viewers are turning back to binge-able libraries.

One thing can be said for certain: Suits’s popularity hasn’t diminished. It was high back, and it is high now.

Why won’t Suits be rebooted?

The increase in the popularity of the series has led fans to wonder if the show would be rebooted in the future. Aaron Korsh revealed that, at present, there are no such plans because of the ongoing strike in Hollywood.

Korsh came on X and wrote that there is no Suits reboot or any similar thing in the works currently.

The factors required for this to happen, as he stated, are a streamer or network reaching out to them, a strike coming at an end, and them wanting to continue the show. As per him, these are no small things.

Certainly, Meghan Markle, a cast member of Suits who played Rachel Zane from Season 1 to 7, would not be coming back for the reboot (which is least probable). The member of the Royal family has already stated that she has no intention of coming back to the series.

A fan replied to Aaron Korsh’s tweet about how they would prefer Suits to stay finished, and Korsh replied that he doesn’t disagree.

The strike involves SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) and WGA (Writers Guild of America). This was the first occasion after 1960 that both unions were on strike together.

With zero chances of revival, Gabriel Macht expressed his disappointment with the show ending abruptly with the ninth season. We all believe that there was a lot of story left to tell.

Gabriel Macht, who played the role of Harvey Specter on Suits, said he sees how the show could have gone on a bit longer. He acknowledged the fan base, and they know that they have fans all over the world.

On September 25, 2019, Suits ended with Season 9. It starred Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, Meghan Markle, Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman, Amanda Schull, Abigail Spencer, and others.
